After Intense Selection Process, Amerisure PMO Chooses Daptiv

Amerisure Insurance is a rapidly growing, regional property and casualty insurance group with more than nine decades of experience insuring American businesses. It had created an internal project management office to manage IT projects, but also wanted to create, define and roll out processes and methodologies that would standardize practices throughout the company.

Amerisure Conducts Intense Evaluation

Prior to Daptiv, Amerisure relied on an ad hoc system cobbled together using Microsoft Project and Excel, and embarked on an extensive search to evaluate and choose a tool that could bring this all together in one environment that would also offer quick and seamless deployment. To solve this dilemma, the PMO Director evaluated a number of products including Microsoft Project, Niku, Primavera, and Daptiv.

Each company was sent a survey containing 150 criteria that would be used to compile a product self analysis. This was followed by each vendor visiting Amerisure for an on-site demo. Competing products were found to be too regimented, and would require Amerisure employees to conform to strict confines within the product. Some products were priced four times higher than Daptiv. Based on cost and functionality, Daptiv was the clear winner.
