With Daptiv, CPS Innovations Removes the Struggle of Managing Projects

CPS Innovations works with its parent company and several partners in the technical development of PET (positron emission tomography) products. Developing such specialized medical products requires following FDA regulations, managing multiple deadlines and allocating resources across several projects.

Projects at CPS range from short-term initiatives with only 10 members to year-long research and development projects that have over 100 team members including collaborators from other companies. With the added obstacle of following complex FDA regulations, missed deadlines, poor communication and overloaded resources can easily derail these projects from being completed accurately and on time.

In order to avoid project failure, CPS Innovations tried several systems, including Microsoft Project Central, which was too complicated and gave team members only a limited ability to update tasks, as well as a confusing Microsoft Excel Methodology in which individuals were expected to fill out each week and present to management. These systems were not adopted by employees and the company sought out a solution that would improve efficiency and provide user flexibility, while ensuring that all parties communicated regularly and deadlines were consistently met.

Seamless Project Management

When Electronics Engineering Manager John Young saw how Daptiv is used to track the implementation of Agile Software, he immediately knew it was the right solution to help CPS Innovations manage projects and improve communication.
